Augustan Christopher Wilson to join Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater!

Christopher Wilson, an Augusta-raised dancer currently based in New York, will be joining the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in the fall. Wilson recently made an appearance in Augusta for the finale performance at “Mood Swings” with Colton Ballet Company and Garden City Jazz, performed at the Imperial Theater April 27.

While he has been performing in Ailey II, the youth dance company of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Wilson will move to the full company for their coming season. Alvin Ailey is America’s premier dance company celebrating the African-American cultural experience and the American modern dance tradition, and Augusta couldn’t be more proud of Christopher Wilson for joining their ranks!
